The original modular climbing trainer you can use anywhere.
BetaBall is a handheld climbing trainer built around real route-setting logic.
Swap holds, create routes, and practice movement and grip ideas without needing a wall.
Whether you're warming up, passing time, or challenging friends, BetaBall adds climbing to any moment.
BetaBall turns climbing holds into a compact, portable trainer. Each hold position around the ball can be swapped, rotated, and reconfigured, letting you design your own “routes” just like you would on a real wall.
Visualize movement and sequences
Warm up fingers and grip patterns
Play mini climbing games with friends
Stay connected to climbing even when you’re not at the gym
Wrist Strap, Not a Wall Anchor
Attach the wrist strap, hold the strap with one hand, and let the BetaBall hang freely below your hand. This keeps the ball oriented and moving naturally while you climb around it.
Start and Finish Holds
The start hold is marked with a black tag.
The finish hold is marked with a white tag.
To complete a route, start with 4 fingers on the start hold and finish by matching 4 fingers on the finish hold.
Following Routes by Color
Create routes by choosing holds of the same color.
While “climbing” the ball, move between holds that match the route color until you reach the finish hold. (Additional route packs sold separately)
Volumes (Black Holds)
Black holds are volumes and can be used on any route, just like volumes in a gym. They add extra options and creativity to your problems. (Volume pack sold separately)
Climbers who want a fun warm-up tool
Home climbers with limited wall space
Route setters who enjoy experimenting with movement ideas
Anyone who likes tactile toys with some “brain” to them
Great as a gift for climbers and climbing-obsessed friends
Keep the ball hanging freely on the strap for the most realistic feel.
Be creative by changing the routes and incorporating volumes.
Chalk will make the routes much easier
Try timing yourself on a route and racing friends.
Use different grip styles (open hand, crimp, pinch) to mix things up.
Try climbing a route without using a specific finger (index finger).
If chalk or dust builds up, brush the holds off rather than wiping them down to preserve texture.
Avoid leaving the BetaBall in a hot car or direct sun for long periods.
Check the wrist strap occasionally for wear if you use it heavily.
BetaBall is a handheld trainer and toy.
Do not hang your full body weight from it or use it as a fixed anchor point.
Small parts (holds, hardware) may be a choking hazard—keep away from very young children.
